Terms of Service

Welcome to PuzzleGenio, an online puzzle creation platform that helps educators, puzzle enthusiasts, and content creators design custom puzzles including jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, sudoku, word search, nonograms, and bingo cards. By accessing or using our service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

PuzzleGenio provides free and premium online tools to create, customize, download, print, and share various types of puzzles. Some features use AI (powered by OpenAI) to generate puzzle content. You agree to use the service in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

The PuzzleGenio platform, including its tools, interface, and design, is protected under copyright law. The copyright owner is puzzlegenio.com.

• The puzzles you make are yours — you own them. You can download, print, share, and use them at home, in class, for family, for tutoring, or for therapy work as much as you like. For commercial use (selling or monetizing), see the "Commercial Use" section right below.
• By making a puzzle public in our gallery, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on our platform. You can revoke this by removing it from the gallery.
• You must not upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights.

A quick note on what counts as "commercial use": anywhere you earn money from a puzzle — selling printable PDFs on Etsy or Amazon KDP, including puzzles in a paid course or book, using them in paid tutoring, therapy, or event services. Non-commercial use (home, school, family, therapy you don't charge for) is always fine, on any plan.

A few things we ask everyone not to do

These apply to all accounts — Pro, Free, and Legacy alike:

• Don't resell or repackage PuzzleGenio itself. You're welcome to sell puzzles you create with our tools — not access to the tools.
• On the free plan, please don't strip the PuzzleGenio watermark before distributing the file. If you need watermark-free exports, upgrading to Pro is exactly what it's there for.
• Don't use our tools, your exports, or our platform data to train AI or machine learning models or competing products. (PuzzleGenio itself may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our own tools.)
• Don't present PuzzleGenio as your own product or claim you built the platform.

One last thing on content: you're in charge of what you put in — puzzle themes, word lists, images, clues. We don't check your inputs against trademarks or copyrights, so if you're selling the output, give it a once-over first. You're responsible for making sure your commercial puzzles don't step on anyone else's rights.

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our tools
• Use automated systems or bots to abuse the service or create excessive requests
• Interfere with the security or performance of the service
• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to bypass security features or usage limitations
• Create or share puzzles containing illegal, hateful, or harmful content
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the service without permission

Your use of PuzzleGenio is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using our service, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.

• PuzzleGenio offers both free and premium features. Free features have no usage limits unless stated otherwise.
• A Pro subscription includes commercial rights for puzzles you make while it's active — see the "Commercial Use" section for the details.
• Premium purchases are processed by Stripe. All prices are displayed before purchase.
• Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if you have not used the premium features. Contact [email protected] for refund requests.
• We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days advance notice to existing subscribers.

When you share a puzzle:

• A unique link is created that anyone with the link can access.
• Shared puzzles without gallery approval expire after 30 days.
• Gallery-approved puzzles remain accessible until you remove them or delete your account.
• You are responsible for the content of puzzles you share publicly.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by requesting deletion at [email protected]. Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy's data retention section.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service. Puzzles generated by AI may contain errors or inappropriate content — you are responsible for reviewing generated content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PuzzleGenio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes errors in puzzle generation, loss of data, or service unavailability. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify PuzzleGenio from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or content you create and share through the platform.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be resolved through the courts of Singapore, unless you are in the EU (where your local consumer protection laws may apply).

We update these Terms from time to time as our product and the legal landscape evolve. The current version is always on this page with the effective date at the top. Your continued use of PuzzleGenio after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If anything in a future update doesn't work for you, you can delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected] — the rights and puzzles you've already earned (including Legacy commercial rights, if applicable) are yours to keep.
