Is this tool suitable for commercial use?

Absolutely. You retain all rights to your designs. Many users use our tool to create files for products they sell on Etsy, Amazon, or local markets.

What is the best material for making puzzles?

For professional results, we recommend 3mm birch plywood or acrylic cut with a laser. For home crafters, heavy cardstock or mounting board cut with a Cricut/manual blade works great.

Can I make a puzzle with 1000 pieces?

Technically yes, but we recommend sticking to under 500 pieces for browser performance and cut time. 1000-piece puzzles are very complex to render and cut.

My image looks blurry, why?

Puzzles require high-resolution images. Ensure your uploaded photo is at least 2000px wide for best results, especially for larger physical sizes.

Do you print and ship the puzzles?

No, PuzzleGenio is a design tool. We generate the digital files (blueprints) for you to make the puzzle yourself using a printer or cutter.

Is there a limit to how many I can make?

No limits. Create as many templates as you need. We believe in empowering creators.

What software opens DXF files?

DXF is a standard CAD format. It works with Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape (free), LightBurn, AutoCAD, and most laser cutter software.

Can I change the shape of the puzzle?

Yes! We offer 16 puzzle shapes including circle, hexagon, heart, star, diamond, butterfly, and more. Go to the Shape panel to pick a shape — the puzzle will be cut to that outline. Shapes use two engines: hex-grid for geometric shapes and clip for freeform outlines.

Can I play jigsaw puzzles online?

Yes! Click 'Play Game' to solve puzzles interactively in your browser. Drag and drop pieces to assemble the puzzle with snap-to-fit mechanics. Features include a timer, zoom controls, and works great on tablets and phones.

How do I download individual puzzle pieces?

Click the 'Download Pieces' button and choose PNG or SVG format. You'll get a ZIP file containing all individual pieces with proper naming (A1, A2, B1, etc.). Perfect for digital craft projects or separate laser cutting.

Can I share jigsaw puzzles with friends?

Absolutely! Click the 'Share' button to get shareable links. Share a play link so friends can solve your puzzle online, or an edit link for collaboration. No sign-up required for recipients.

What shapes are available for jigsaw puzzles?

We support 16 shapes across four categories: Geometric (rectangle, circle, hexagon, honeycomb, diamond, ellipse), Nature (flower, butterfly, egg, crescent, teardrop), Symbol (heart, star, cross), and Fun (cloud, cat). Each shape produces a unique puzzle outline while keeping standard interlocking pieces.

Can I create jigsaw puzzles through an API or MCP?

API and MCP creation uses an account and API key. Each newly created puzzle is saved and uses one saved slot. Preview and download from the returned result page. For availability, inputs and examples, see Jigsaw puzzles API documentation.
